Returns & Refund Policy

Last updated: August 2026

At Sweetly Toxic, we want you to love what you order. We also understand that occasionally something may go wrong. This Returns & Refund Policy explains how returns, refunds, faulty items and order issues are handled.
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Change of Mind
Please choose carefully before placing your order.
Sweetly Toxic does not offer refunds for change of mind, including where you:
Decide you no longer want the item.
Order the incorrect size, colour or style.
Change your mind after placing your order.
Find the same or a similar item elsewhere for a different price.

No longer require the item.
Many Sweetly Toxic products are sourced specifically after an order is placed. We strongly recommend checking product descriptions, measurements, size guides, colours and other product information before completing your purchase.
Where Sweetly Toxic agrees, at our discretion, to accept a return that is not required under Australian Consumer Law, the conditions below will apply.

Return Conditions
Unless the item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise covered by your rights under Australian Consumer Law, an approved return must:
Be unworn and unused.
Be unwashed.
Be free from marks, makeup, perfume, deodorant, pet hair or other signs of use.
Have all original tags attached where applicable.
Be returned with its original packaging where reasonably possible.
Be in a condition suitable for resale.
Sweetly Toxic reserves the right to refuse a discretionary return where these conditions have not been met.
Return Shipping Costs
For discretionary returns accepted by Sweetly Toxic, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
We strongly recommend using a tracked postage service. Sweetly Toxic cannot take responsibility for returned parcels that are lost or damaged while being transported back to us.
Where an item has a major failure, is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, return-shipping costs will be handled in accordance with your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Original Shipping Costs
Where a discretionary refund is approved, original shipping charges are non-refundable.
The refund will apply to the approved returned item price only and will exclude the original postage, shipping or delivery charges paid with the order.
For example, if an item cost $49.95 and the customer paid $9.95 shipping, an approved discretionary refund would be for $49.95, not $59.90.
This does not limit any entitlement you may have to recover delivery costs where required under Australian Consumer Law.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged, significantly different from its description, or different from what you ordered, please contact Sweetly Toxic as soon as possible.
Where possible, please provide:
Your order number.
A description of the problem.
Clear photographs of the item.
Photographs of packaging where the item was damaged during delivery.
We may request additional information where reasonably necessary to assess the issue.
Where an item fails to meet a consumer guarantee, Sweetly Toxic will provide the remedy required under Australian Consumer Law. Depending on the circumstances and whether the problem is a minor or major failure, this may include a repair, replacement or refund.

Incorrect Sizing
Please check the sizing information provided on each product page before ordering.
Sizing can vary between manufacturers and styles, so we recommend using the measurements provided for the individual product rather than relying only on your usual Australian clothing size.
Ordering an incorrect size is generally considered a change of mind and does not automatically entitle you to a refund or exchange.
Your Australian Consumer Law rights remain unaffected where an item has been incorrectly described or does not otherwise comply with applicable consumer guarantees.

Exchanges
Sweetly Toxic does not guarantee direct exchanges.
Where we agree to accept a discretionary return and you would like another size, colour or product, we may ask you to return the original item and place a new order.
Any additional shipping costs associated with a discretionary replacement or new order are the customer's responsibility.
Sale & Clearance Items
Sale, promotional and clearance products are generally final sale for change-of-mind purposes.
This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law. A discounted item still carries applicable consumer guarantees.

Earrings, Hosiery & Other Hygiene-Sensitive Products
For hygiene reasons, certain products may not be accepted for discretionary return once opened, tried on or worn. This can include earrings, hosiery, tights and similar hygiene-sensitive products.
This restriction does not apply where you are entitled to a remedy under Australian Consumer Law.

Order Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, contact us as quickly as possible.
Many Sweetly Toxic products are sourced specifically for individual customer orders. Once sourcing, processing or fulfilment has commenced, we may be unable to cancel the order simply because you have changed your mind.
This does not affect cancellation or refund rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

Refund Processing
Once an approved return has been received and inspected, we will advise you of the outcome.
Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
Please allow time for your bank, card issuer, Buy Now Pay Later provider or other payment provider to process the refund after it has been issued by Sweetly Toxic.
Sweetly Toxic cannot control processing times imposed by third-party payment providers.

Buy Now, Pay Later Purchases
Where an order was paid using a Buy Now, Pay Later service, any approved refund will be processed through the applicable payment provider.
Your remaining payments, adjustments or refund timing will then be handled according to that provider's processes and terms.

Refused, Unclaimed or Incorrectly Addressed Parcels
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information when ordering.
If a parcel is returned to Sweetly Toxic because it was refused, unclaimed, or an incorrect/incomplete address was supplied, additional shipping charges may apply if the customer requests that the order be sent again.
Where a discretionary refund is agreed instead, reasonable shipping costs already incurred may not be refundable, subject always to Australian Consumer Law.

Before returning anything, please contact:
